Kurukshetra University Online
Established in 1956 by the former President of India, Late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Kurukshetra University began its journey with a single Sanskrit department. Today, it has evolved into a comprehensive institution offering a wide range of online programs such as MCom, BCom, MA, BA, and more. Located in the state of Haryana, the university holds prestigious accreditations, including NAAC A+, NIRF recognition, and a strong Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The campus is set in the historic region of Kurukshetra—celebrated in the Mahabharata—near the sacred Brahma Sarovar, and spreads across 400 acres.
The campus is well-equipped with modern amenities ranging from essential facilities to world-class infrastructure. It features a fully air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 2,500 people, equipped with a 70mm projector, along with a conference hall, senate hall, and a variety of sports facilities, including tennis courts, a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, and more. The university actively supports students in enhancing their skills through various academic and extracurricular opportunities.
Kurukshetra University hosts 45 teaching departments and has 369 affiliated colleges located across districts such as Panipat, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Karnal, Panchkula, and Kurukshetra. With over six decades of academic excellence, the university ranks 8th among state universities and has earned the prestigious Category-1 University status.
Most of the programs offered by the university follow the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) combined with the Learning Outcome Curriculum Framework (LOCF).
