JIS University
IS University, located in Kolkata was established through the JIS University Act 2014, which came into force in 2015. The university encourages entrepreneurship and skill development among the students to promote employability and self-employment. JIS University Kolkata is approved by UGC, AICTE, NCTE, PCI, and the Bar Council of India. It is a private university and is accredited by NAAC. Further, JIS University in Kolkata is recognised as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India, and is a member of AIU and UNAI.
